Born in 1969, Gil is a busy Musical Producer, Musical Director, Composer and a Songwriter. Graduating both The Dunia Weisman and the Jerusalem Music conservatories, he was awarded a full scholarship to the Jerusalem Academy of Music, where he studied the three year program in one year. At only 16, he had his first performance with a symphony orchestra as a solo pianist.

 From the beginning of his career, Gil was selected to work with national TV networks in Israel for their primetime shows as a composer and producer. He arranged and recorded the 1993 soundtrack of the Best Picture/Music film at the Israeli Academy Awards and was hired excessively to produce and compose for TV programs of both national channels 1 and 2.

 

In 1994, Gil moved to New York where he continued his studies at Juilliard School of Music, Mannes College, and was coached privately by Dr. Rudolph Palmer; he received the ”Telly“ Award for the original TV score of ‘Secrets of India’, produced and performed in two off-Broadway shows which he also conducted, recorded tracks for an HBO feature, and produced local recording talents.

Perusing his career as a film composer, Gil moved to Los Angeles in 2001 where he collaborated with legendary director Arthur Hiller, composed music for the Natural History Museum in L.A., and produced artists from New York and L.A..

  As a musical director/conductor, Gil toured the US, Europe and South America. He was invited to produce and play with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Basel Symphony Orchestra of Switzerland.

 

In 2007 Gil returned to Israel with his extended family, and while working constantly on projects for the US market, he begun collaborating locally with the Israeli ‘E’ TV channel, ‘HOP!’ kids TV network, directors, and top recording artists.

 

Gil is currently involved with productions in the US, France and Israel; he has gathered 19 years of professional experience and an extensive background in various music production scenes and genres.

Recently, Gil was invited to teach at the BPM Music College in Tel Aviv.


 

Gil enjoys working on musical projects at both ends of the spectrum from studio and network financed projects to commercials, websites, interactive games, and DVDs.
